Network Interference Caused Cluster Outage

At first sight it looked like a huge Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) or a similar distributed trojan virus attack is causing severe network congestion in backbones connecting to us. We were not targeted directly but our network partners isolated the problem and restored proper connectivity.
