Another 'phishing' scam!

Dear players.

Again, some enterprising person has sent out mass mails to a number of our players, in an attempt to get them to part with their account information, this time signing the fakes with my name. Needless to say, I'm not very pleased about this and can only look forward to locating this person's account, if he/she has one. If not, I just may send him/her a trial key, so I can have the pleasure of banning him/her. Ahem. Here is a transcript of the letter:

_Your EVE Online account

We are contacting you because on 5 Oct 2005 our Account Review Team identified some unusual activity in your account. In accordance with Eve's User Agreement and to ensure that your account has not been compromised, access to your account was limited. Your account access will remain limited until this issue has been resolved.

To secure your account and quickly restore full access, we may require some additional information from you for the following reason

We will assume your issue has been resolved if we do not hear from you within 48 hours, your account may be subject for suspension or will be banned Thank you for allowing us to be of service to you.

As before, we have managed to dig up some information about this person and will be contacting his ISP as well as the legal authorities, if necessary. Truly, our vengeance will be legend.

Remember, we will NEVER ask for your account details. Remember also, that your account information is your own responsibility.
