Fanfest 2025 will feature an exceptional lineup of guest speakers, including prominent voices from both the scientific community and the EVE universe.  

Dr. Becky Smethurst, an astrophysicist and renowned science communicator, is set to share her expertise on the cosmos. Known for her weekly astronomy and space-related content on YouTube, Dr. Becky’s videos draw up to 4 million views and she boasts over 766,000 subscribers. She also posts engaging science content on TikTok, Instagram, and X. At Fanfest, Dr. Becky will delve into the wonders of the universe, linking real-world astrophysics with the vast and imaginative cosmos of New Eden, making complex science both accessible and exciting for all capsuleers. 

Equally anticipated is Dr. Ronald Turner, a senior scientist with extensive experience in space radiation and human spaceflight. As a longtime advisor to NASA, Dr. Turner brings unparalleled insight into the realities of space exploration. But more than that, he’s also a veteran EVE Online player, offering him a unique perspective on how real-world space challenges parallel the adventures and dangers capsuleers face in the EVE universe.  

Amazing Activities 

As ever, Fanfest attendees will have the option to participate in amazing activities, including the infamous Party at the Top of the World, stunning tours with EVE Devs, a pub crawl, a charity dinner, and much more. That’s in addition to the fun-filled schedule in Harpa, the majestic conference hall in the heart of Reykjavik.
