Community Beat for 11 October

2024-10-11 - Por EVE Online Community Team

Hello spacefriends and welcome to the latest edition of the Community Beat! We find ourselves in the thick of the Council of Stellar Management election season so let’s take some time to look at what’s happening out on the hustings.

Council of Stellar Management 19

Although this is the Community Beat and usually focuses on player-created content, we would like to mention the CSM19 candidate interviews which took place on the official CCP Twitch channel recently. Over the last weekend CCP Swift and CCP Lumi interviewed dozens of candidates in 10 minute bite-sized chunks so you could get to know them and their platforms better. If you missed those streams but would like to know the candidates running for CSM19 in order to make a more informed decision then check out the VODs here, here and here!

If you’re unfamiliar with the CSM and what it means for EVE Online you can find out more here. In short, the Council of Stellar Management is a player advocacy group who are elected by EVE Online players to regularly meet and discuss game issues with CCP. Every Omega account is eligible to vote so make sure you get to know your candidates and cast your ballots from 17 to 24 November!

Incumbent CSM18 member Kshal Aideron who has been hosting a series of more in-depth CSM19 candidate interviews and posting them on her Youtube channel.

Similarly, EVE University have begun hosting candidate interviews live on their Twitch channel. Find out more here.

Crimson Harvest

It's the spooky season and that means the Blood Raiders are out and about once again, antagonizing the decent and law-abiding citizens of New Eden in their annual Crimson Harvest! Hopefully by now many of your have chosen your side - either the Blood Raiders of Order of St Tetrimon and have begun harvesting your rewards. While you're flying around looking for an anom that doesn't already have someone in it you could check out Eaglefirefly Gaming's Crimson Harvest cinematic video:

We would like to expand the in-game Community Fittings to help make the event more approachable for newer players, so if you've devised any economical fits that have had success running Crimson Harvest sites please submit them to communityteam@ccpgames.com and be sure to include your character name so we can give you credit in-game!

Keep An Eye On Your PI

EVE Partner Nohus Bluxome, creator of the popular RIFT Intel Fusion Tool, has released an update which lets you monitor your Planetary Industry setups outside of the game. This is in addition to a bunch of useful features for monitoring intel channels, asset management and setting up alerts.

The Fable of Essin

We have featured EVE Pandora several times in the Community Beat over the last few years, and we're putting the spotlight on it once again with their latest offering. DeT Resprox from Ushra'Khan writes:

"A Story Arc titled The Fable of Essin is currently active. This originally began as a campaign to capture Eszur, which fell quickly after the Push For Eszur was announced. The decision was then made to take Frerstorn which was liberated and returned to the Republic.

Now, a full blown effort is in place to liberate the entire Essin constellation, taking it from Amarrian rule with the the Weaken The Defences campaign in place with the objectives to push Ebolfer, Ontorn and Sirekur to an average of 80% contested overall. This campaign is also a part of the The Fable Of Essin campaign under the chapter titled Returning Essin and will offer EVE Partner rewards.

Multiple Minmatar militia capsuleers have been involved, most notably Skjer Artrald, Leviathan Tank and Trillium Hardson had a huge impact in taking Frerstorn as can be seen on the leaderboard on one of two Frerstorn campaigns.

The Story Arc itself has entries written by the author as action during campaigns or missions (chapter parts) takes place, mentioning key protagonists involved in the Story Arc. Outcomes of Chapters and their chapter parts carry Story Arcs forwards."

We think what DeT Resprox is doing with EVE Pandora is really cool and adds flavor and storyline to the sometimes abstract process of pushing the frontlines back and forth in the warzones. Check out EVE Pandora and start participating in the campaigns!

That's all for this edition of the beat! See you again in a couple of weeks. o7
